My baby is growing up

It has almost been 9 months since I gave birth to Nicholas even though it seems like yesterday.  That little boy has stretched my heart to fill it with as much love as possible.  It has been an amazing 9 months and there is not a day that goes by that I don't thank God that we took that leap and decided to have him. 

A Whole Bunch of Firsts

Our little man is growing up so fast and with that, he is experiencing more and more things for the first time. He is now big enough to play in the jumperoo...





I love seeing his little feet jumping up and down and his face full of excitement.

He has also started on cereal... He had no idea what to do with it at first and didn't like the fact that you actually had to wait for the next spoonful but he got the hang of it fast and now loves his nummies...

I wish I could bottle up this time. Every day is an adventure with him. I cherish the time that we have. I never knew that my heart to grown any more and I am enjoying parenthood more than ever... I love seeing all three of my boys grow up.



They are 3 amazing little boys and I am so proud to be their momma...They teach me what's really important in life. Sometimes I just sit back and watch and take them in...I need to have these mental memories to fall back on when they are all grown up.







Oh, I almost forgot, Nicholas had one more 1st...His first time in a pool.
All I have to see is that he was not happy with me one bit. He did not like the pool at first. He cried his little eyes out until he realized that he could splash like his tubbies. I still don't think he liked it too much but at least he stopped crying for a little bit.

Nicholas - 3 months old

I really can't believe that Nick is already 3 months old... It seems like only yesterday that we finally decided we wanted another baby... Now, we have a beautiful perfect little boy.



He is growing and changing everyday. His little personality comes out a little more each day too. He is the happiest baby that I have ever know. He is truly an Angel from Heaven...



I am enjoying every moment of getting to know him... I love the way his eyes dance when he sees us and when he learns a new trick.. He has recently figured out that he can play with his little toys. They all end up in his mouth but that's okay for now. He is a pure joy to watch. I love the little faces he makes too...



I can't imagine my life without him now. He brings so much to our family even though he is only 3 months old. The boys adore him and are very proud to be big brothers.

I am so lucky to be able to spend so much time with him too. I get to work from home a couple days a week so we are rarely apart. It is always a good day when you can work while a smiling baby is hanging out with you.



My husbands loves his snuggle time too... He is teaching him young to enjoy napping... (My husband's favorite pastime)



Nick is also doing great at tummy time...He is learing from his big brother, Evan ... I thought this picture was so cute.. This was the 1st time Nick really pushed himself up.



All in all, Nick is fitting in just perfectly...we can't wait for the adventures ahead....

4th of July

The 4th of July is one of my favorite holidays.  I would have to say 2nd to Christmas.  I love it because it is pretty much the kick off to summer, there are always BBQ's going on to gather with family and friends, and Fireworks... I LOVE FIREWORKS...... There is just something about them that makes me happy...The dancing colors in the sky...

This year, we celebrated at our friend, Mark's house.  It was a beautiful and hot day.  Almost record breaking temps in the 90's.  Perfect swimming weather it was. 





It was also Nick's first 4th of July. He looked so adorable in his flag swim trunks and 4th of July bib...



We enjoyed great food and great company. The boys enjoyed themselves. Evan stayed in the pool most of the day. He is a changed boy. Last year at this time, he wouldn't leave our side. Give him a few lessons and he thinks he's Michael Phelps. He loves swimming and he is pretty good at it. He even goes underwater now. I am so proud.



After the party, We went to Jim's house to see the fireworks. He lives in this beautiful house by a man made pond. Fireworks were being set off all around the pond. It was magicial. I think I liked them more than the kids did. They even got to make smores while watching the show.

The beauty of a baby

I love little baby parts...they are so small and precious.... their beautiful eyes, pouty lips, button noses, heart shaped lips, pudgy toes and chubby cheeks just melt my heart. And the way they smell, oh, if only we could bottle it up and keep it forever....My little angel is growing before my eyes...I can only hope to remember it all...

Nick's Christening

One June 27th, our little boy was baptised at St.Paul's Church. He was so beautiful in his little white suit that his Nani bought for him. Thank God that we didn't wait a few more weeks or that outfit would have never fit.



Nicholas is very lucky. He has two amazing godparents,my cousin, Stephanie and Brian's brother, Doug.



He was so good in church sleeping most of the time. There were five other babies being baptised and he was the best out of all of them. We were so proud.

Anthony and Evan were proud big brothers and were so happy to be part of Nick's special day...



Nick is now an official member of the church. The day was amazing. We were so thankful for all the family and friends that came out to share in his special day.

Father's Day

With every post, I am getting better at this blogger thing and I am actually starting to enjoy it.

I know this post is late but like I said, I am still getting used to this. I need to pay tribute to the father of my children no matter how late it is.



When I started dating Brian, I knew right from the start that he was special. We clicked right away like we were always meant to be together. All it took was one date and it has been a fairy tale every since. He is the man of my dreams. Actually, he is the man that has made all of my dreams come true. I never in my wildest dreams thought that I would have the life I am living right now. Not to say that we don't have our ups and downs but the difference is that we know how to weather the storms and grow stronger from them.

If I only had one word to describe Brian as a father, it would be ...AMAZING....He is the kind of father that every woman would want for their children. He is the most involved father that I know. He is gentle, patient, kind, funny, loving, and playful. He is not afraid to show our boys love. He is not afraid to show our boys his emotions. He always make sure that they see me as a Queen. He is at every event that he can attend and our boys know that they are the most important to him. He makes them all feel special. My heart leaps when he can get our 3 month old to smile just by saying hello to him. Brian will drop everything if one of the boys asks him to play with them. He doesn't want to miss a minute or regret not spending enough time so he makes the best of any time he has with them. He is the best Daddy and we love him all the way up to the sky. A Cook off

Ok, I am still trying to get the hang of this blog thing so I am a little behind but I thought that the cook off and father's day did deserve some space in my blog.


Every year, my husband and his friends have a cook off to show off their grilling abilities. This is always a great time because we get to taste test amazing food but it is also a chance for all of us to get together and hang out.

In all respects, we are one big family. My kids call all of our friend aunt and uncle and theirs call us the same. My husband has been friends with these guys since high school. They are brothers is any way that matters.




Anyway, back to the cook off, the food, oh the food is amazing and the guys take this really seriously. They all grill to win the title of Cook Off Champion.



This year. we were treated with Apple BBQ Ribs, Smoked Salmon, Grilled Shrimp, Smoked Ribs, Grilled Pizza, Buffalo Chicken Sandwiches, and Brisket...Along with yummy salad and Grilled Veggies. Once you get a taste of everything, you are so full, you don't want to move.



Now comes the voting, everyone votes for their top 3. The person with the highest score, gets the title. This year I am proud to say that my husbands, Apple BBQ Ribs did win. I think it had to do with Nick wearing his, Dad's BBQ Buddy shirt. I think it was good luck.



Everyone did a great job :) They all deserve to win. I can't wait until Next year....

Congratulations, Baby

Nicholas 3 months old

It is amazing that I am writing this right now. I cannot believe that 3 months have passed since that beautiful baby boy came into our lives. It sort of makes me crazy that we waited so long to have him. He is amazing and perfect in every way. I had a dream when I was pregnant with him that he was going to be my angel. I didn't think it could be possible. Babies are suppose to be hard, right? They are a lot of work, yes, but Nicholas is not hard. He is the "chillest" baby I know. So far, we have been able to take him anywhere. He gets carted to all his big brother's baseball and soccer games and swimming lessons and never makes a peep. I am actually enjoying every minute of him. I run home from work just to see his smiling face. His personality is really starting to come out now. He loves to smile and talk to us. I am looking forward to the weeks ahead. He is just going to get more and more fun. Thanks for being such a great baby. We love you more and more every day.

Going back to work

I have been dreading this day since the day Nicholas was born. I knew that in a few short weeks, I would have to go back to work and our days of spending every minute together would be over. I know that I should have been mentally preparing for that but no matter what you do, I don't think you can prepare enough to leave your baby. I have been crying inside for days. I just can fathom leaving him tomorrow.... My heart is aching.

Maybe because I know that he is my last baby? Maybe it is because I am a control freak and want everything done the way I have set it up? Maybe it is because I am afraid that he will start to forget me a little or maybe it is just because I know once I go back to work time seems to go in fast forward and days turn into months and then next we know, he will be a year. I don't want time to speed up. I want to enjoy every minute of him. I want to be there when he does every single one of his "firsts".

Part of me wishes I could stay home but part of me also likes to work. I like feeling like an adult at times. I know that I just need to get use to this next chapter but today I don't like it. He has been joy to be around. I love everything we do together. I will miss our morning routine and our afternoon walks, and just plain hanging out together. Luckily, Daddy taking some time off, so I know that he will be in good hands. It will make the transition a little better.

Nicholas - 2 months old

Nicholas went for his two month check up today. Dr. Klocke said he is perfect. He weighed 13 lbs 15ozs and is 24 1/2 inches long. He has definitely grown A LOT since we brought him home. He is now in the 90th percentile in height and weight. He is eating well :) We are dealing with some reflux issues but who doesn't, right? I just think that spitting up comes with the territory. It isn't that bad so fortunately no medication is needed.

He had to get two shot today too. I think they were harder on me than on him. He was such a trooper. He cried for about 30 seconds and stopped. His slept alot today but other than that has been an angel. No crankiness, thank God. As we speak, he is talking to me trying to get my attention. I love his little coos especially once I look at him and start talking. He gets soooo excited. I an definitely taking in every moment. I can't believe two months have already gone by... My newborn is gone...I already miss it, but I am looking forward to what's to come. It is so rewarding to watch them grow ... Looking forward to more smiles.... :)
